Bladder Infection Now Brown Discharge

What changed in Washington? Episode 2

L e Vegetable Garden
The Obama just created a vegetable garden and orchard on the lawn White House, on the left when looking at the building. The promotion of healthy food to fight against junk food (food habits of the majority of Americans are absolutely terrifying for us) will be a priority of Michele Obama is a good thing. When will a José Bové garden party at the White House?
Note that the crisis boosts trade by 25% of gardening: it crashes back to fruit and vegetables in America, in order to restrict the food budget. If you want

Bonuses that reward banquerouteurs
The big bonus scandal Pharaonic distributed to leaders of an insurance company specializing in dubious investments is very very wrong with Obama when 2 million Americans lose their jobs each month since November (and their coverage in the wake, and often their unemployment because they were both dismissed for misconduct than done). This company has received hundreds of millions of dollars (750 in my head) of the bailout and distributed almost as many (680) in recognition to its leaders.
Meanwhile, the club of investable women of great international institution responsible for assisting developing countries (which I will not mention so as not to burn out my sources) continues its small business without a state of souls: this week the council was to buy shares on Monday of a large corporation U.S. dollar collapsed to 1, for resale on the weekend to $ 3. Quite a somersault? And indignation in the cocktails served worldly bonuses to officers above.

Representation in Congress against gun
Policymakers in Washington are embroiled in a big dilemma: if they want to have a representative in Congress (they do not, for historical reasons justifying their maxim "taxation without representation"), they must, constitution requires, renounce the law of the district to limit firearms, including the obligation to declare possession of a weapon, under the pressure of lobbying from the NRA (National Rifle Association). When you think Washington is a state where yal more crimes with firearms despite these restrictions!!

The Women
Obama created on March 11 the White House Council on Women and Girls "directed by Valery Jarett, one of his relatives. It will also ease the burden of access to contraception and abortion for minors and equal treatment of women in the business.

Climate change
A woman has been appointed head of NOAA (where bump Toff) which will create a "National Climate Service" and hopes that NOAA is in the forefront of scientific information on climate change (water level, tropical storms, fisheries resources, observation of the poles ...)

Iran
I invite you to read Obama's message to Iran on the occasion of "Nowruz", Iranian New Year and Spring Festival, a complete break with the previous administration.

Comprehensive reform of the FDA (Food and Drug Administration)
Obama pledged last January to a "comprehensive reform" of the FDA, U.S. Agency for the regulation of food and medicines.
The FDA has been severely criticized recently because of several health scandals, lack of transparency in the authorization to market new drugs and for its links with large firms.
An article in the Institute Science in Society (ISIS) in London reported the onset of a storm of controversy following the publication by the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) a survey showing a pervasive political influence of the FDA scientists and their work. The article "FDA Under Fire for Corporate Links That Compromise Science", published online On September 1, 2006 http://www.i-sis.org.uk/FDACorporateLinks.php reports that the survey was sent to 5,918 FDA scientists among whom 997 responded. Nearly a fifth of these scientists (18.4%) say "that they were asked to make non-scientific to exclude or alter technical information or conclusions in the documents of the FDA."
Conflicts of interest have undermined the credibility of the FDA so that several scientists have mobilized the agency to send a letter to Obama requesting his intervention to reform the institution "fundamentally broken".
New appointments to head the FDA, widely hailed by food industry and consumer associations in the country, could positively influence the Senate vote. Food Industry Association, Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA), has already declared that the appointment by the President of these two public health professionals was a clear sign of the new administration to refocus priorities and methods Evaluation of the FDA.

So for now, for the fans that we are, Obama continues to do what he said. Still, the crisis is really there, very strong and we start to see even in our neighborhood: that close shop in the Mall for small super-rich, new homes for sale every day in the neighborhood, not very full carts ...

What changed in Washington? Episode 1

In the series what changes in Washington, Obama has signed a directive that aims to differentiate itself from certain acts within the Bush administration, that distort or suppress scientific information in areas such as contraception, air quality, global warming caused by human or endangered species.

At first glance it may seem surprising must reaffirm these principles so strongly. But brace yourselves, the Committee on Government Reform House of Representatives issued a report in 2007 documenting a systematic effort of the White House to censor climate scientists by controlling their access to the press and by altering testimony given before Congress! No you're not dreaming! I think it's called censorship right? For the lesson of democracy is missing!

is why Obama gives 120 days to the director of "Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) to recommend a plan of action to:
- prevent that government employees remove or alter scientific results.
- give public access to scientific information developed and used by the federal government.
- ensuring transparency in the preparation, identification and use of scientific information in political decision making.
- based appointments to scientific positions in the executive branch on the knowledge, skills, experience and integrity of the winners.
- ensure that scientific information taken into account in political decisions are the subject of a well-established scientific process including if a peer review.
- Establish procedures to identify opportunities where the process scientific or technological information is compromised as well as mechanisms of protection for those who expose violations.

I let you measure, through this example, what were actually the Bush years.
Each day sees the Obama team tackle problems head on health, education, personal property bankeroute, climate change ... it's exciting, how far will he leave or does it go? That Is The Question (you see my progress in English I hope.
